As a social organization, our purpose is to give Barrie Newcomers the opportunity to meet and make new friends through a variety of functions offered by our club and to help them become acquainted with Barrie and the surrounding area.

General Meetings

Gables WaterfrontOur General Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of September, November, April and May at 7:15 p.m. in the The Angus Ross Room of The Barrie Public Library on Worsley Street.
*This facility is fully accessible.

Remainder of meetings for 2009 will be December 2.

Please note:  Special events are held at our June and December meetings at another location.  We do not meet in the summer months (July and August).

Interest Groups

Barrie Newcomers Club offers a wide variety of activities and interest groups such as bowling, euchre, scrabble, book club, etc. Sign up sheets for all our interest groups are always available at our general meetings. For a complete list and description of these groups and activities, click here.
