INTEREST GROUPS
Scrabble
Scrabble meets on the first Monday of the month at 1:00p.m.
Walking/Hiking Club
This group meets every Thursday morning. The pace is medium-fast and the terrain is varied. Hikes may vary from 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours plus travel time. Input from members is valued. A beverage or lunch break is usually arranged for more group socializing. This is a great way to meet and make new friends while having fun. For the early part of January, snowshoeing is being consider.
Euchre
The group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 1 p.m.
Fun Lunch
This group gets together on the second Thursday of each month at 12 noon for a pot-luck lunch in a host home. Lunch is followed by an afternoon of lively chat – a great way to get to know people. Due to the increased size of our membership and the capacity of each hostess we may have to limit the numbers on a “first call basis”.
Book Club
If you like to read and enjoy sharing your opinions and hearing those of others, you should join us for a lively evening. We meet on the last Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in member's houses, where we discuss selections suggested by the group. This is a very relaxed format and a social evening as well.
Restaurant Lunch
This group meets at various local restaurants on the first Thursday of the month at 12:30 pm.
This is a new interest group which will meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 1:00 pm.
Knit n' Sew
The group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Badminton
Drop in badminton group at East Bayfield Community Centre every Wednesday evening at 7:25pm to 8:45pm.
NOTE: Sign up sheets for the above activities will be at the monthly meetings. We are always looking to start a new activity group and if you have a particular interest please let Win know and we can see if there are any other members who would be interested also.
